    • Duration: 1.5 Hours
    • Location: Live via Zoom

Session Presenter: Vikki Ortiz, MS, CESP

    Description:
Every employment journey starts with a deep understanding of the person we are supporting. In fact, shifting to an Outcome-Based Payment Model does just promote discovery activities as best practice; It positions this essential competency as the key to efficient service delivery with long term long-term placement success.

Rushing into job development without a deep understanding of the career seeker often leads to poor job matches, turnover, and unpaid lost hours. To achieve milestone benchmarks efficiently, we focus on the ingredients that inform person-centered job matches. Before jumping straight into job development, how do we help career seekers uncover their authentic identity, unique strengths, core interests, and existing support systems?

Join us for Informing Outcomes: Exploration Strategies to Build a Meaningful Career Profile, the first installment of COEF’s Fall Training Series. Engage with a practical, interactive 1.5-hour webinar focused on the foundational phase of employment support: Developing the Career Profile.

We will explore actionable strategies, conversation starters, and hands-on activities that make the discovery process engaging and empowering for the career seeker while laying the groundwork for sustainable, outcome focused services.

    • Location: Live via Zoom

Session Presenter: Vikki Ortiz, MS, CESP

    Description:
At its core, job development isn’t about filling out dozens of online applications or pushing quick placements. True, meaningful job development is about relationship-building—getting out into the community, understanding business needs, and finding the right environment where a job seeker can truly thrive.

When we focus on quality matching over speed, job retention naturally follows. Under an outcome-based payment model, this intentional, back-to-basics approach isn’t just better for the person—it’s what ensures long-term success and sustainability for providers and employers alike.

Join us for Back to the Basics: Meaningful Job Development Built on Real Relationships, the second installment of COEF’s Fall Training Series. Engage with a practical, interactive 1.5-hour webinar focused on the fundamentals of effective job development.

  • Session Details:

    • Date & Time: Tuesday, November 17 from 4:00-5:30pm Mountain Time
    • Duration: 1.5 Hours
    • Location: Live via Zoom

Session Presenter: Vikki Ortiz, MS, CESP

    Description:
Getting hired is an exciting first step! In the workplace, success happens when an employee understands their role, meets employer expectations, and feels fully supported in their work environment. A well-crafted job support plan bridges the gap between starting a job and truly thriving in it, ensuring daily duties are mastered and workplace standards are met.

In an outcome-based payment model, long-term retention is where success is measured. Thoughtfully designed support plans build solid foundations during onboarding, prevent early misunderstandings, and align employee performance with employer needs, creating stable, lasting placements that hit key retention benchmarks.

Join us for Thriving at Work: Designing Job Support Plans for Performance, Confidence, and Growth, the third installment of COEF’s Fall Training Series. Engage with a practical, interactive 1.5-hour webinar focused on identifying necessary job accommodations, support strategies, and natural supports that help employees succeed and grow in their roles.

  • Session Details:

    • Date & Time: Wednesday, December 9 from 9:00-10:30am Mountain Time
    • Duration: 1.5 Hours
    • Location: Live via Zoom

Session Presenter: Vikki Ortiz, MS, CESP

    Description:
One of the delicate balances in employment services is knowing when and how to reduce support to the minimum necessary for the employee to continue thriving. Fading paid supports isn’t about stepping away abruptly or leaving an employee to figure things out alone—it’s a gradual, intentional process of transferring support responsibilities to natural workplace systems while keeping job performance high.

In an outcome-based payment model, successful fading is essential to managing staff capacity and achieving long-term retention milestones. When executed well, fading solidifies the employee’s relationship with their supervisor and coworkers, ensures employer expectations continue to be met, and frees up provider resources to support new job seekers.

Join us for A Practical Guide to Fading: Knowing When, How, and How Much to Reduce Support, the final installment of COEF’s Fall Training Series. Engage with a practical, interactive 1.5-hour webinar focused on the mechanics and timing of fading job supports.

We will cover how to assess readiness, build natural workplace supports, and create a fading plan that maintains quality and stability for the long haul.
